Jim Childers is a Senior Vertical Transportation Consultant at Walker, bringing more than 30 years of diverse experience in the industry. Throughout his career, he has held a variety of roles, providing expertise and leadership in all aspects of vertical transportation in the U.S. as well as the Caribbean.

Prior to 2021, Jim held various industry roles in sales, management, engineering, and field operations oversight. In 2021, Jim began providing consulting services for every aspect of the vertical transportation industry. In this role, Jim provides and oversees a wide range of consulting services, including modernization programs, new and existing equipment condition assessments, due diligence surveys, capital planning, maintenance assessments, maintenance agreements, and comprehensive project management. Hurricane impacts in recent years have added significant experience in damage assessment as well as vendor conflict resolution.
